We are currently implementing a new warehouse management system and are looking for someone who is interested in keeping their skills sharp while working on this exciting development project. There will be some travel to branch locations to implement and ensure success as well as maintenance of the project. The corporate position is located in East Peoria, IL.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The candidate for this position must be prepared to assume an active leadership role in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IS projects.

Must be able to research, analyze and define system modifications and develop test scenarios and routine system audits to ensure systems are being executed accurately.

Plus, assist in the use of systems and the interpretation of data and serve as a resource to end-users.

Some travel is required.

Senior Programmer Analyst

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree
Plus a minimum of five years programming experience
Abilities in Windows XP/Server 2003, MS Exchange, IIS, Visual Basic, SQL Server2005, DreamweaverMX, Visual Source Safe, and MS Project.
Knowledge of inventory control or warehouse management systems is helpful.

Position Background: The Programmer/Analyst’s role is to develop, implement, and launch efficient information systems in support of Alta Resources commerce and fulfillment business processes. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to help identify, construct and support solutions in order to maximize the benefit of Alta Resources ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications
• Research and document requirements on behalf of client users
• Write, test and deploy software programs and applications according to specifications
• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
• Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process
